AreaPapcastle is a delightful village situated on the north-west edge of the Lake District one mile from Cockermouth, one of England’s ‘gem towns’. It is equi-distant from the nearest lakes and the Solway coast (approx 6 miles). The local pub serving good food is a 5 minute walk away.
Building
Recently created from the hay-loft above the old stables at Greenbank , Papcastle this contemporary-styled luxurious studio apartment has been built, fitted and furnished to an exceptionally high standard.
Interior
The wooden-floored, spacious, open-plan living area retaining the original roof space and timbers has an elegant and stylish feel whilst at the same time being homely and wonderfully relaxing. The custom-built kitchen area with cooker, fridge, micro-wave and breakfast bar, and a dining area for four people have been carefully integrated into this space. A comfortable lounging area has been created in front of the wood-burning stove and the latest plasma-screen television with DVD player has been provided. For music lovers there is a stereo radio, and CD player.
A short split-level corridor leads through to the double bedroom comfortably accommodated within a relatively small space incorporating large fully fitted wardrobes along one wall. The shower room and WC are immediately adjacent. The whole of the apartment has full gas central heating.
ViewsDouble glass doors lead onto a decking area which over-looks the garden commanding uninterrupted views of the River Derwent, and the western fells of the Lake District beyond. The entrance and exit are by a wooden stair-way underneath which is the entrance to the utility area with washing machine, tumble-drier and wood store.

Suitability
The apartment is ideally suited for two people but can take up to two more if the double sofa-bed is used. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets and smoking is not allowed.

Please note that trips to The Loft are not covered by our usual terms and conditions. Why? Because the Loft actually belongs the the parents of our Managing Director, and believe it or not used to be the offices where the fledgling Last Night Ltd was based for its first year of existance. Since then it has been totally refurbished (to a very high level) and to the annoyance of our Managing Director has become far too expensive for him to visit!....oh well!
