Norwich - City Information

Enjoy an amazing WOW Weekend in the provincial city of Norwich.

Still considered to be the capital of East Anglia with its honey - colored Cathedral and Castle that dominate the city. They lie within easy reach of each other and close to many of the other historic buildings admired by visitors, making this an interesting place to explore on foot.

Norwich has more medieval churches than any other city in Western Europe. The city was said at one time to have a church for every week of the year and a pub for every day (and in our book that’s not a bad thing – the pubs). Not surprisingly, brewing was one of the chief industries for over two centuries.

The streets of the city follow their medieval course, outlined by the remaining parts of the ancient city walls, which enclose an array of historic buildings, including the Norman Cathedral and Castle and the medieval Guildhall.

There are also a number of traditional and modern pubs and clubs that remain open into the wee small hours, so there is no excuse not to party into the night.
