It has a population of about 0.4 million and links from the M4 and M5 motorways.
The Forest of Dean is in close proximity across the new Severn Bridge, as is the city of Bath.
The arts flourish in the city, with opera, film, ballet, museums, galleries and music of every kind.
There are many good restaurants in and around Bristol suiting many different tastes.
Bristol has some amazing sights, including the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Bristol Cathedral to name but a famous few.
The nightlife in this beautiful city is excellent, particularly along the rejuvenated quayside where most of the regeneration work has taken place over the last few years. All the pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants based in the city centre can be found very close to one another providing the perfect location for an action packed pub crawl that will leave you no excuse not to party long into the early hours.

Details: Situated n high ground this is a challenging parkland course, long and testing with many natural hazards. The greens here are very fast and well guarded by bunkers that have been well situated, there is a few long Par 4’s, which will definitely test your long iron ability.
Club: Henbury Golf Course
Par: 69
Yards: 6007
Details: This course has had thousands of pounds invested bringing it kicking and screaming into the new millennium, establishing a reputation as one of the best courses in Bristol. The parkland course is tree lined on two levels with the River Trym coming into play on the 7th. This course will undoubtedly have you coming back for more.
Club: Knowle Golf Club

Details: Knowle is a mature parkland course and a traditional members club that has a renowned reputation for its lush greens and friendly atmosphere. A good test of golf will be had here, with two contrasting halves to suit golfers of all handicaps.
Club: Mangitsfield Golf Course

Yards: 5337
Details: Mangitsfield’s hilly parkland course is relatively short and suitable for high handicappers although some fairly tricky Par 3’s will challenge golfers of all abilities.
Club: Shirehampton Golf Course

Details: Offering stunning views over the Avon Gorge this extremely attractive parkland course has fine greens and neat fairways providing a good test of high handicapped players. It’s very enjoyable and rewarding for the more established player with the reputation of the 19th being one of the best in the country.

Details: Fast becoming a major name in the South East this Championship course is set in 200 acres and built to USGA specification. The course is set in parkland with numerous water features and follows the natural contours that surround it. The Euro Pro Tour was held here in 2003, the event had live coverage from Sky Television and professionals from all over the country graced to playing surface.
